I would say MLM is worse, because at least with an STD:
She doesn’t intentionally want to infect me.
She is not an embarrassment to everyone i know
She will not make a list of all MY family and friends that she wants to talk about her STD with
At least with an STD, she keeps her shame to herself.

Ok, mlm is what you make of it. If you work hard at selling something you will be rewarded. Yes you have an upline who gets a percentage. Work it for a while and maybe start somthing on your own. I am in a mlm and am making a good income each month. I’m not rich, but I am happy. I have downlines and they make good money as well. I have incentives to help em. I hold weekly meetings and about what we can do to make things easier. It just depends on the person who’s the upline. As for training, I have documents I could probably send you and all you would have to do is edit them to your specification. The main thing is to think outside the box. Be creative with your product. First criteria for any MLM or NM company is your personal criteria by simply asking and honestly answering this question:
"Would I be still using this product or service if there was no business opportunity attached to it?" If your answer is "NO", then this is NOT the best company for you.
Providing you stick to the following 7 Foundation Blocks to evaluate MLM and NM company your chances to land with the best one are 1000 x greater than joining someone who is just plugging it for the sake of plugging. Do not be surprised to find out that many of those so called MLM gurus do not know how to spell MLM backwards, usually selling $49.95 information on how to get 300 people a day to join your downline, only for you to find out that they are not part of any mlm company, hence never done it themselves.
7 Foundation Blocks –
1*******the right reusable product not available in stores directly shipped to your customers; (you do not want to store the product, warehouse nor do you want to ship it, invoice it or collect the money for it)

7*the company should be privately owned with a chance for you to obtain shares as a bonus for your performance, it must not be publicly traded.
Stay away from any hyped up start-ups or Just-Launching-in-2-weeks deals with join-now-before-everybody-will. Company must withstand the test of time.
Any service or product that is dependent on any form of Government Licensing and regulation or de-regulation is very risky, unless you know a government you could trust your future and that of your family with.
Majority of programs offered for free and that cost nothing are, from the income point of view, worth exactly that — nothing. They are usually designed to gather information about an active e-mail accounts selling them as leads to spammers. Again use your common sense and ask the offering party for proof of income. If hesitant, you can be pretty well assured that he/she can’t show any profits or their expense in time and advertising cost equals or even exceeds the cash flow received. Total waste of time.
There are virtually thousands of NM companies out there. I’ve spent well over $10,000.00 in 2006 to research and join many only to find half a dozen that would deserve my name attached to their name, product, service or Compensation Plan. Compensation Plans were the worst problem, mostly geared to reward just a few people at the top and to benefit company the most or bonuses paid on the highest levels with quotas unattainable to any part time distributor. These companies generally promoted their opportunity as an ideal to start part time and build it up. That is virtually impossible for a part time participant to accomplish with a full time job attached to his/her daily schedule.
Use the above criteria and let me know if you find a company that fits the glove. I am always ready to learn for I coach people in NM worldwide recommending only a very few companies so far.

1. You never hear people getting bulk discounts (the bigger the bulk the lower the price), which is the best way to market and sell a product.
You also don’t see drop shipping (where factories do the work as long as a sale is created), rather, you have distributors forced to pay a fixed monthly fee whether they sell or not, putting the burden completely on the marketer, not the manufacturer or consumer, the other necessary components of a trade.

3. Marketers push people to buy what they don’t need at a price they normally don’t like, rather than let people beg for the product and compete over pricing it as low as possible
4. Despite what employers tell you, MLM does NOT give you control over your own business, you have no say over pricing (unless going up is considered a say)
5. As mentioned above, traditional production and marketing works when a good product is begged to be sold by consumers, and consumers beg to become a distributor. MLM does just the opposite or how a natural market operates.
6. MLM preys on greed, guilt, and encourages people to hunt their close associates. Traditional businesses understand worst case scenarios, market saturation, supply and demand, voluntary exchange, MLM seems to ignore reality altogether by giving false promises.
7. Does any serious business school teach MLM as a viable business model? Or is there a conspiracy in the mainstream education to stifle alternative theories of economics and those who don’t do MLM are brainwashed into believing that only traditional businesses work?
8. MLM always talks about a hidden secret breakthrough that’ll be the next best thing. Now if this was remotely true, shouldn’t rich people have joined, invested and beat the average Joe? If something is promising, why isn’t it attracting money, rather, it’s attracting ignorant suckers?

I want to hear from any person in MLM / Network Marketing that has ever sold enough of their product or service to make a decent full time living (say at least $50k/year in earnings) before ever recruiting someone into their down-line.

If it were true that you can make money doing that stuff, then MLM wouldn’t have the scammy reputation they have. The only people making real money on these things are the guys at the top that cooked up the schemes that you send your startup fees to.
I don’t want to do survey’s or mlm, no downlines or uplines, no reading upon reading and filling out forms after forms only to have to fill out more forms. I just want the comfort of working from home and making real money for real quality work. No more ebooks on the secrets to working from home, or how tom and mary makes $10000 a month or more from home when they really don’t exist. Can some one out there really help me.
Sadly most don’t work. Think about it, if the key to wealth was working at home or some place else wouldn’t everyone be working at home? There are some that work however, if you have the PROPER skills, note: some. For instance you could be an accountant from your own HOME, it’s what my accountant does and she has a huge house and swimming pool.
